Maligaya Beach Bungalows
A relaxed beachfront hideaway on the softer, southern edge of El Nido, where private bungalow living, warm island hospitality and the long light over Bacuit Bay come together in one small stretch of sand.
The property is built around a garden path that ends at the shoreline. There are no crowds to navigate and no schedule to keep, only a veranda that belongs to your bungalow alone and the water a short barefoot walk away.
The setting
Maligaya sits directly on the sand, where the beach runs long and the evenings stay quiet.
The bay opens out in front of the property and the days keep the unhurried shape that people come to Palawan hoping to find. Nothing is scheduled for you and nothing needs to be. Mornings tend to begin on the veranda, afternoons drift between the shade and the shoreline, and by the time the light turns everyone has slowed to the same pace without meaning to.
El Nido town center is close enough for dinner, errands or an early boat departure, and far enough that the beach here stays calm through the day. That balance is what keeps guests on this side of the bay: everything within easy reach, nothing crowding the shoreline in front of the bungalows. The road behind the property is quiet, the garden absorbs what little noise there is, and the loudest thing most nights is the water.
South of El Nido town, on the beach rather than near it, with the karsts sitting across the water and the town a short tricycle ride behind you.
The bungalows
Private bungalow living, a few steps from the water
Each bungalow is arranged around comfortable bedding and air conditioning, with an electric kettle and a mini-refrigerator for the small comforts of a longer stay. The private bathroom has a hot rainfall shower, which is exactly what the end of a beach day calls for after hours of salt, sand and sun.
Outside, a private wooden veranda with daybeds and seating extends the room into the garden. It is where mornings start, where the afternoon heat is waited out, and where most guests end up spending the long, undefined hours in between. The planting between bungalows keeps each veranda feeling like a room of its own rather than a shared terrace.

Golden hour
In the last hour of light, Bacuit Bay turns warm and the beach goes quiet.
This coast faces the evening sun directly. The boats come in, the water shifts from turquoise to copper, and the karsts flatten into silhouettes across the bay. For a short while the beach fills with people watching it happen.
Then the shoreline empties out again, the lanterns come on along the garden paths, and the evening settles into the version of El Nido that most guests remember longest after they have gone home.
Mornings
Breakfast where you woke up
Breakfast is freshly prepared and can be served on your own terrace, so the day begins outdoors with the garden still cool and the bay catching its first light. No dining room to find, no queue to join, no particular hour to be ready by.
There is no rush built into it. You eat outside, watch the boats gather offshore for the day's island trips, and decide afterwards what the day will actually be. More often than not, that decision takes another cup of coffee and gets made somewhere around mid-morning.

Island days
Simply arranged
The team can help arrange island tours with local operators around Bacuit Bay and organise airport transfers for your arrival or departure. Laundry service is available during your stay, and local recommendations come freely: where to eat in town, which beach is quietest, what the weather usually does in the afternoon.
These are arrangements made on your behalf rather than services we operate ourselves, and they exist so that planning takes up as little of your stay as possible. Tell us the morning before and most of it can be sorted out by the time you have finished breakfast.

The neighbourhood
Corong Corong Beach, El Nido
A long sandy shoreline facing Bacuit Bay, south of El Nido town and connected to it by a short tricycle ride. Island-hopping boats work this stretch of coast, so departures and returns happen close to where you are staying rather than across town.
The evening light here is the reason many people choose this side in the first place, and the reason a lot of them extend their stay once they have seen it.
